Hello,
that’s me, at the top, making a fool of myself in India. I was, in fact, there on holiday – a rare luxury for travel writers. Actually, that trip ended up as a four-page magazine feature, so perhaps it wasn’t a holiday after all.
Somehow, I’ve managed to make a ten-year career out of travelling and talking – and writing about it, of course. I’ve cruised around Cuba for The Telegraph, hiked Taiwan for the Independent, ventured into an Icelandic glacier for Wanderlust, and explored some of Britain’s most beautiful unsung spots for glossy magazines at home and abroad.
But it’s not all globe trotting. From my desk in Berkshire, UK, I spin up features, interviews and round-ups galore. I also cover the arts, culture and luxury – and ghost-write first-person features for both editorial clients and brands.
I’m an astute commercial copywriter and project manager too: I’ve created content for the likes of Toyota, Lexus, Asda, InsureandGo, LV=, Rolex, Marriott and Tripadvisor – and write native campaigns for The Telegraph and Our Media.

Writer, editor & media consultant | March 2014 – PresentI originally established my part-time freelance writing and editing business in 2014. As my client list grew, juggling freelance projects alongside my staff roles became unsustainable – so I took the business full-time in March 2019. I haven’t looked back.
The Telegraph
Senior Online Editor: Travel | Apr 2016 – Mar 2017I commissioned and wrote breaking travel news, features and interviews – for both online and print editions of The Telegraph. This was a contract position, and I later returned to the desk as a senior editor for 18 months in August 2020, covering the effects of the pandemic on the travel industry.

Online Editor | Apr 2014 - Apr 2016I oversaw all of Wanderlust’s online editorial – features, guides, reviews, news, ed-op – and its social media profiles. I also managed content marketing campaigns across wanderlust.co.uk and social media; clients included South Australia and Northern Territory, Brand USA and Intrepid Travel.
